BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 500 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Nadina Dodd is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Art Therapist who has worked in multi-cultural settings with various populations including women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Vancouver’s urban Aboriginal community, newcomers, refugees, and international students. She recognizes how the environment and systems in which we live influence our lives and her practice is holistic, compassionate, collaborative, and focuses on the therapeutic relationship.

She currently works as a mental health Case Manager at Fraser International College (FIC), in partnership with SFU, supporting international students in their health and wellbeing. Part of this support includes developing and facilitating an art therapy group in SFU Housing. At FIC she has developed what has now become the Wellness Office and supervises two wellness coaches.

Nadina also has an independent counselling and art therapy practice called Creative Paths and she develops and delivers arts-based projects in various Vancouver communities that focus on exploring cultural identity and art as medicine.
