BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 500 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Dr. Rahul Choudaha is a global higher education strategist with expertise in future-oriented, data-informed internationalization in the context of shifting student mobility trends and evolving transnational education models. Currently, he is Executive Vice President of Global Engagement & Research at Studyportals. Operating out of San Francisco Bay Area, he is responsible for strategic engagement and stakeholder relations with higher education institutions, professional associations, and government bodies on the foundations of research and intelligence.

Choudaha has presented over 100 sessions at professional conferences and has been quoted in global media including the BBC, Time, NPR and The Wall Street Journal. He was also the principal investigator of two national reports commissioned by NAFSA: Association of International Educators. He is an elected member of the General Council of the European Association of International Educators (EAIE). He is affiliated with the Center for Studies in Higher Education at UC Berkeley and taught graduate courses on International Higher Education at New York University and Baruch College. Choudaha holds a doctorate in higher education administration, master’s in business management, and a bachelor’s in electronics engineering. He blogs and tweets as DrEducation.
