BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 500 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Angela has been a professional in the field of International Education for 20 years in both BC’s post-secondary and K-12 systems. For the past 14 years Angela has been the Managing Director of International Education for the Burnaby School District, one of the largest international programs in the Province of B.C. with students from over 40 countries. To support such a culturally-diverse District, Angela has led Burnaby to champion intercultural learning opportunities for both staff and students. Currently she is a member of a BC Ministry of Education working group developing a Global and Intercultural Skills Program for the Province. Angela recently obtained a Masters in Leadership degree through which she researched how to better engage K-12 teachers in internationalization.
