Collaboration, Content and Culture: The Future of Field Schools

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This session will discuss how International Offices can support and guide field school development with academic units to maximize both learning outcomes and internationalization efforts. Explore how teaching and culture can be explicitly incorporated into an international field school curriculum, no matter what the discipline, in a way that allows students to clearly experience and articulate what it means to their learning. Using co-teaching, faculty engagement and strong partnership coordination, short term learning abroad activities can surpass traditional models to become more closely integrated into program offerings, ensuring sustainability, and strong student and faculty buy- in.
