The importance of international experience in the development of cross-cultural adaptability, leadership skills, foreign language proficiency, and person-to-person ties is recognized as a key asset by governments, academic institutions, and employers around the world. International Experience Canada is the Government of Canada’s flagship program for facilitating international travel and work opportunities for Canadian youth. The primary objectives of the program include building the global competencies of Canadian youth, through youth mobility agreements Canada has with 34 countries.
